Standard size is 36” wide by 80”
long. All sizes, mattresses, heavy-duty and
low-to-floor models are available. Options include side rails, trapeze
bar and table. Choose from Invacare, Tuffcare, Sunrise Medical, Merits, Gendron,
Transfer Master, Sleeper Lounge and Volkner.
Mattresses come in your choice
of Air, Innerspring, Latex-Foam and Tempur-Pedic. For Medical Purposes,
Group 1 and 2 Mattresses vary in their
pressure-reducing capabilities; including alternating pressure chambers that
inflate and deflate. Choose from Latexpedic, Comfortaire,
Tempur-Pedic, Blue-Chip, Supplepedic, Gulf South, Sigma
Bariatric Heavy-Duty from
400 pound up to 1000 pound weight capability Adjustable Beds, Hospital Beds,

The Leggett and Platt Adjustable Beds are Scape, adjustamagic and Promotion are designed to bring you the ultimate in comfort. FIRST select a mattress for us: Innerspring, Latex Foam, Air or Memory Foam. SECOND select an adjustable bed foundation made from Leggett and Platt or Electropedic. The Leggett and Platt Adjustable Beds are Scape, adjustamagic and Promotion are simply the most comfortable and relaxing piece of furniture you can buy for your house.
You can experience the least amount of pressure on your lower back as you elevate your legs - you simply stop where you relieve the strain that creates the pain.
When you elevate your back you can experience less pressure put on your chest, and breathing is easier.

When you can elevatate your back and your legs slightly you are in a fetal position: this is the same position you experience when you are in a fetal position on your side - with your upper body is slightly bent forward, knees bent, and legs tucked in. The benefits of being in this position on your back and not on your side is that your mattress is against your back, supporting your spine, and that you don’t have to worry about pressure points on your hips and shoulders that can cause unwanted tossing and turning, that prevent you from obtaining a good night’s
sleep. Also this position is similar to the zero gravity position astronruts reed to be in during a launch into space. If they are not in this position, they risk severe injury to their spine due to the increased G-forces on their body. This point helps validate that this articulated position is the best position for properly supporting your body.Whether for the perfect position for your back, breathing, sleep apnea, acid reflux, arthritis or poor circulation . . a flat, unconfortable position is not positive to the quality of the time you spend in bed.
